WHO WE ARE

Kennedy Academy provides a stimulating educational environment for all students who meet the criteria for admission. Our goal is to achieve excellence in learning for highly capable elementary students in an atmosphere of wonder, trust, and care. We will achieve this through:

We offer academic challenges beyond those required by Indiana Academic Standards to highly capable kindergarten through 5th-grade students. The Academy provides a stimulating educational environment in which students participate in both guided and self-directed exploration across subject areas with emphasis in the sciences and mathematics. The Academy is available to all primary children who meet the criteria for admission.

WHAT WE OFFER

At Kennedy Academy, students participate in both guided and self-directed exploration across subject areas with an emphasis on STEAM-based curriculum that combines science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Students also have the opportunity to explore their interests and develop new skills through various extracurricular activities! They can:

  • learn about the environment in Green Team
  • learn the basics of engineering in Lego Engineering club
  • design and construct Vex Robotics machines to solve engineering problems
  • build confidence and fitness in Girls on the Run, Intramural basketball, and other sports
  • create Comic Book characters and bring them to life on the page
  • strategize in Chess Club
  • receive personalized support through After School Tutoring
