Technology Vision

Kennedy Primary Academy will provide a child-centered environment utilizing state of the art technology that is integrated to support productivity and intellectual explorations for faculty and students. We commit to building a stimulating and challenging educational environment that prepares students to enter a technologically sophisticated global economy with confidence and pride. 

Core Beliefs

  • Every student should have access to up to date technology that will allow students to compete in a global economy.
  • Faculty should maintain training that will incorporate the ever-changing technology into their instructional plans
  • Faculty should maintain use of computer and iPad applications as well as online resources to enhance the learning process for our students.
  • Technology integration at Kennedy Primary Academy should be seamless within our curriculum and will not stand by itself.
  • Technology should allow parents to more effectively communicate with the teachers utilizing a variety of platforms.
  • Kennedy Primary Academy should maintain and increase our infrastructure to allow for the addition of new technology.
Technology Resources

Current Technology That Can Be Found At Kennedy Primary Academy:

  • 11 wireless access points that enable our students and teachers to use online resources throughout the building.
  • Each teacher has a MacBook Air that is wireless. These are currently used for classroom presentations, record keeping, and word processing.
  • Each classroom teacher has an iPad mini that is used in a variety of instructional applications as well as being available for student use.
  • In addition to the teachers' iPad Mini, they have an iPad that is strictly used for student assessments.
  • We have a 30 iPad Minis' for student use in our exploratory labs.
  • Each classroom contains an Apple TV that is used in multiple capacities such as utilizing airplay with their minis'. 
  • The classrooms are all equipped with a projector that allows for various devices such as their laptops, iPad minis', and document cameras to enhance student interactions.
  • The school currently contains two computer studios consisting of 30 MacBooks in each. Each classroom is scheduled for a minimum of two sessions every week.
  • There are over 240 Chromebooks housed with Kennedy Primary Academy that are assigned to classrooms for student usage.
  • Also, there are four 3D Printers that enables students to sketch, design, and build projects alongside their STEAM curriculum. 


  • Kennedy Primary Academy will seek to implement a 1:1 ratio of Chromebooks for all students.
  • Each student will have a portfolio that demonstrates knowledge in technology applications.
  • Students demonstrate a sound understanding of technology concepts, systems, and operating systems: MacBook, Chromebooks, and IPads.
  • Students will gain an understanding on how to troubleshoot problems.
  • Students will demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using technology.
  • Students will be able to locate, organize, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and ethically use information from a variety of sources and media.
  • Students will be able to evaluate and select information sources and digital tools based on the appropriateness of specific tasks.
  • Faculty will engage students in exploring real-world issues and solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources.
  • Faculty will demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations.
  • Faculty will collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation.
  • Faculty will model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning.
  • Kennedy Primary Academy will maintain and upgrade its' current infrastructure with the ever-changing technology.
